Claire Shelly BSc. Certified AT.

Claire is the manager of PhysioElite. She graduated from Carlow IT in 2005 as a Graduate Sports Rehabilitator with first class honours. She also won the Scott Medical Award for her research dissertation on the effects of warm up on moderate intensity exercise.
Claire has worked in a variety of different areas including geriatrics and paediatrics however her interests lie in the sports setting where she has spent the majority of her career. Claire has also delivered on a number of QQI third level courses including sports therapy and sports injury management along with ITEC sports massage. She is currently course coordinator of the Sports Injury Management and Pre-Physio Courses at Limerick College of Further Education and is a member of the Sports Department teaching faculty.
Although having experience in rugby and athletics, Claire's main sport is GAA where she has worked with several club and intercounty teams including Laois GAA, Kilkenny GAA and Tipperary GAA and camogie.
Claire is highly regarded in her field and served as secretary of her accredited association BASRAT in Ireland organising courses for its members. She is an active member of Athletic Rehabilitation Therapy Ireland (ARTI)

Tricia Hassett BSc. (Physio) MSc. (Neuro & Ger) MISCP, CORU Registered PT027502

Tricia is a chartered physiotherapist and qualified from UCD in 2012. She also gained a MSc in Neurology and Gerontology from RCSI in 2016 where her research focused on the use of technology in vestibular rehabilitation. She also recently completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Ageing and Frailty in Trinity College Dublin and is currently undertaking certification with University of Pittsburgh in Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation.
Tricia currently works as a senior physiotherapist with older adults in the HSE. During her time in the HSE she has gained invaluable experience in orthopaedics, medical, surgical, respiratory and neurological settings. She has assisted in the setup of vestibular rehabilitation services across several sites also acting as a clinical resource in this area.
Tricia is also our resident pilates instructor. She is trained by the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute and has completed several courses in this area including Pilates for Runners, Ante- and Post-Natal Pilates and Pilates Suspension Method Training to enhance her modified pilates classes here in PhysioElite. Tomas Hassett BA Exercise and Health

Tomas is the resident strength & conditioning coach and personal trainer with PhysioElite. He qualified from Waterford IT in 2011 with a BA in Exercise and Health Studies and a BA in Strength and Conditioning.
Tomas is at present a fitness instructor and personal trainer in the Irish Prison Service. He also acts as a strength and conditioning coach to several club and intercounty teams. As an avid GAA player himself he is currently working as our fitness classes co-ordinator, using his experience to train both the high level athlete and the couch potato!
